FILLING
1 brown paper bag;
2 1/2 pounds of apples (cored, peeled and cut into chunks)
1/2 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons unsifted all-purpose flour
1.2 teaspoon of nutmeg; and
1 eight-inch pie crust
TOPPING
1/2 cup unsifted all-purpose flour;
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened;
1/4 cup brown sugar; and
1/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed.
FILLING: Stir ingredients together and spoon into unbaked pie crust;
TOPPING: Mix ingredients together and spread on top of pie filling.
BAKING: Place pie into brown paper grocery bag and cook in oven preheated to 375 degrees until browned. Be careful to insure that the paper bag does not touch a heating element.
