Among the largest and most actively maintained download sites for virtually any level of user.  The site also offers a free email newsletter with a list of the most popular downloads.  You can also upload your own reviews or read other real user reviews.
FREE Music Files

There are literally thousands of Music Web Pages on the Internet.  There are also a host of search engines for everything from Midi to Wav to MP3 formats.  Since Midi files require the least amount of time to load, they are great for use as ringtone.  Midi files are computer synthesized versions of the original songs and, of necessity, contain no words.  Wav and MP3 files are normally copies of the original tunes but the quality varies depending on the quality of the equipments used to record them.  There is an ongoing controversy over whether the use of these files on Web Pages is an infringemnent on copyright.  As a result, some musicians are posting original works which can be used for free.
