1 pie crust (frozen)
1/2 lb. cooked sausage
1/2 cups finely chopped onion
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar
2 Tablespoons Dried Parsley Flakes
2 Eggs Beaten
1 small can (5 oz.) evaporated milk
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Partially defrost frozen pie crust before using.
Mix together all ingredients
and pour into unbaked pie
crust.
Cook at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes on a preheated cookie sheet.
Cook until a knife can be inserted and comes out clean. If quiche is browning too quickly, put a piece of aluminum foil on top and finish baking.
Serving Suggestions
The Quiche should be allowed to cool briefly so that the filling can take on a firm consistency. Once it cools from Hot to Warm, it can be served with a green or ceasar salad, some fresh fruit on the side (strawberries, watermelon or cantelope) and/or hot French or Garlic Bread. For a touch of continental cuisine, add a glass of slighty chilled sweet red wine.
This recipe is relatively quick to prepare and the spice flavor can be adjusted depending on the type of sausage used. It is an all-day dish and can be served equally well at breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
This Quiche was an immediate hit with our Family when we were first introduced to it by our newest Family Member Kendra Medina (Gant). It's now regularly requested by Family and Friends!
